The White Mountain National Forest was established in 1918 and has since grown to 800,000 acres of protected wilderness stretching from New Hampshire to western Maine. With approximately 6 million visitors annually, it is one of the most visted forests in the country. It's no secret so many people treasure this special place with the array of activities to enjoy that range from backpacking to dog sledding.
A beautiful place to swim and picnic with an incredible view of Cathedral Ledge. There is also a scenic walking trail along the lake.

This 0.6 mile flat path follows alongside the Swift River and crosses over the historic Albany Covered Bridge, featuring a waterfall.
Get to know this 2.5 mile trail, suitable for all levels, that displays a variety of beautiful wildflowers and expansive views at the top.
With the option to hike 1.2 miles or drive 1 mile to the top, you are sure to be impressed by the spectacular views at the top.

A 0.3 mile trail leading you to a 64 foot waterfall. This popular spot is one that tends to be crowded, but it is a beautiful sight.
This multi-tiered plunge, Arethusa Falls is the second tallest waterfall in New Hampshire at the end of a 1.5 mile long moderate hike.
The Willey House is where a landslide killed 9 people in 1826. Although the whole area was covered with debris, the home survived the landslide.
