Bartlett

Bartlett, famous for StorylandAttitash, and its appealing low tax rate, includes Intervale, north of the Conway Town Line on Route 16 to Glen, the crossroads of Routes 16 and 302, ending in Jackson to the North and West past Attitash Ski area to Bartlett Village. Spread along the valley of the Saco River and its tributaries, surrounded by National Forest, it has been the site of more new subdivisions than any other in Mt. Washington Valley and is over 50% second homes.

The major Bartlett residential areas are Route 16A, Dundee, the west side of Route 16 north of North Conway, Linderhof, Nordic Village, Glen Ledge, Attitash, Stillings Grant, Route 302 from Glen to Bartlett Village, the Village itself, and west of the Village, heading toward Bretton Woods. Each has an assortment of older and newer homes, condos, and townhouses, in a wide range of prices. For example, Alpendorf, off 16A in Intervale offers medium-priced chalets, while nearby Wild View boasts panoramic views and high-end newer homes. Right next door, Eagle Ridge, is a popular condo complex with superb views of the White Mountains.

The original 16A community clusters along the meandering road that used to be the main highway north, set close to the pavement for easier plowing. Linderhof is almost entirely chalets, Glen Ledge mostly contemporaries, and Nordic Village, resort condominiums that function as a condo-hotel. There are ski-in ski-out properties, from modest to spectacular on Attitash, and newer high-end neighborhoods at Wild View in Intervale, Ellis Ridge, Birch Bend, and Pear Mountain in Glen and Stillings Grant west of Bartlett Village.
