Head east from Conway, or south from Chatham, NH, and you’ll find the town of Fryeburg. Fryeburg has much more to offer its residents and visitors than is at first apparent: canoeing and kayaking on the Saco River or Lovewell Pond, swimming, camping, hiking Jockey Cap or Evans Notch, walking or biking the Mountain Division trail, or searching out historic monuments and buildings. It boasts a beautiful town park, good restaurants, from casual to gourmet, including the Oxford House, 302 Smokehouse, churches, service businesses and a world-class summer music festival. The terrain in Fryeburg ranges from level farmland (where the potatoes that make Cold River vodka are grown) to rolling hills (from which you’ll see beautiful views of the Presidential Range and western mountains). 

Homes here are as varied as the terrain. There are historic farmhouses, contemporaries, and rustic cabins. Waterfront cottages and new, upscale neighborhoods. Home of The Fryeburg Fair which usually takes place during peak foliage during the first week of October. the renowned Fryeburg Academy, Fryeburg appeals to families with high school-aged children, as local students may attend Fryeburg Academy tuition-free. Prices are slightly lower than in the neighboring Conways.
